Mr. Bluebird’s on my Shoulder
Welcome to October! or should I say….
My sister and I enjoyed a walk in the neighbourhood with our dog Kaylee this weekend.
Who doesn’t take their quilts for a stroll?
It’s full on fall here now and there was a thick frost this morning. Time to cozy up with a cheery quilt!
This Bluebird quilt is very similar to my recently shared Chickadee quilt. Both are certainly Sweet Tweets!
This one was quilted in white using organic wavy lines from edge to edge on my domestic.
The backing includes a strip of Florence by Denyse Schmidt flanked by Festive Forest by Tamara Kate.
My stash has zero florals save for the one I used on the Chickadee quilt, so I recently purchased some great florals from Mad About Patchwork.
The floral print used for the wings is Flowers in Blue from the More Pie? collection by Dana Willard.
Happy National “Look at the Leaves” Day! 🍁🍂
Bluebirds quilt finished at 50” x 50″ square.
You can find this pattern here in my NEW SHOP!
Also wanted to take a moment to remember this Farm Fresh fall finish from the past!
Keep On Quilting On!
