Who is Sew Fresh Quilts?

Lorna McMahon of Sew Fresh Quilts creates fresh, modern quilt designs that are fun to piece and easy to follow. Known for animal themed quilts that are traditionally pieced and quilt patterns that make you want to head straight to your sewing room to get started. Popular patterns include Giraffes in a Row and Dog Gone Cute.

Over the years, Sew Fresh Quilts has been partnering with a variety of fabric manufacturers, including Michael Miller, Robert Kaufman, Northcott Fabrics, RJR Fabrics and Craftsy.com, to offer collaborative projects that feature their latest fabric collections. Visit my blog to see everything I have been working on since 2012.

I’ve tried paper piecing. And free motion quilting. But I am a big believer in keeping it simple and having fun. Easy piecing methods are my specialty. And I’m well known for my signature edge to edge organic wavy line quilting with my walking foot.

Publications include QuiltMaker, 100 Blocks, Quilter’s Connection and Quilty magazine.

Sew Fresh Quilts online ETSY shop has been selling PDF downloadable patterns since 2013 and has made over 58,000 sales to date. In 2015, wholesale printed patterns began being carried by various quilt shops throughout Canada and the United States, as well as by Annie’s Publishing, Keepsake Quilting and Nancy’s Notions, and were available wholesale through Petersen-Arne Distributors. However, during 2019, we have begun scaling back on physical paper pattern sales and are relying more on the customers desire for immediate download PDF patterns, at a more reasonable price.
