Farm Fresh baby quilt finish

Let me tell you ’bout the birds and the bees…

 
The flowers and the trees…
 
 

 
 
And a quilt made with LOVE!!!!
 
 
 
I can’t get over how cute these blocks all look together!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
These wee birds in the nest are my favourite block in the quilt.
 
 
 
 
 
I used a variegated yellow/orange thread on top and in the bobbin.
 
 
 
 
Quilting edge to edge wavy lines.
 
 
 
 
Backing is “Busy Bees” from the Leaf Dance collection by Jane Sassaman for FreeSpiritFabrics
 
Blue binding by Giucy Giuce for Andover Fabrics

This “Farm Fresh” baby quilt finished at 39″ x 47″
 
 
 
Last week I shared my new Back2School blocks, “F is for Farm Fresh”, which are available here in my pattern shop.
 
 
Sunflower and Leaves, Stick with Leaves, and Hen.
 
 
 
This past week I made the Bird Flying and Baby Birds from the B is for Birds pattern set.
And then added the Bee Hive and Apiary from the H is for Honey Bee Bunny pattern set.
 
 
 
This is the layout I chose to set off those Stick with Leaves blocks, making them look like trees.
 
 
From the Background:
BS – 9 @ 1.5″ x 10.5″
CS – 1 @ 2.5″ x 43.5″
SB – 2 @ 2.5″ x 43.5″
TBB – 2 @ 2.5″ x 39.5″
 
 
From the Tree Fabric:
CT – 1 @ 1.5″ x 43.5″
CS – 1 @ 2.5″ x 43.5″
 
 
From the Binding:
5 strips @ 2.5″ x WOF
