I was thrilled to be invited by the author, Pamela Jane Morgan, to be a part of the blog tour and get a chance to make something from her fabulous new book! This book is for serious cat lovin’ quilters – filled with fun projects to make and use – not just quilts, but who doesn’t love cat quilts?!!!! You can find Pamela here pammiejane.com
There are all kinds of quilting projects included in this book! It covers everything… Quilts, stuffies, cute kitty pin cushions, bag, and the list goes on. Lots of choices on quilting techniques as well. This one is paper pieced. Pammie Jane is obviously quite cat obsessed to put it mildly. Enough to have written the patchwork book on it!!!
My model, Fluffy, was previously introduced back in 2013, as he was the inspiration for my very first quilt.
He has been the Main Man in my daughter Erin’s life for 14 years. So we are also quite smitten by our kitten.
He wasn’t in the sitting mood. But that’s okay…..
I JUMPED at the chance to be included in the book tour and had a lot of fun making this sweet runner!

He’s a runner on a runner!
And my daughter’s favourite flower is the sunflower too.
The length of this runner was perfect for my outdoor table, finishing at 19″ x 61″.
I used strips of solids to make the backing.
I wanted the binding to reflect the beauty of the sunflowers and chose a nice bright yellow. I chose grey for the quilting and quilted densely in organic wavy lines from edge to edge.
These little figurine kittens are much more suitable for showing close up shots of the quilting on this runner.
Maybe. Maybe not. We can’t resist our Fluffy.
