Noah’s Ark

Introducing the Noah’s Ark baby quilt!

This little project came together nicely.

And I am so pleased with the whales that I found for the backing!!!

Most of the fabrics are from my stash, but I needed to order some orange for the rainbow, so when I seen the whales, I couldn’t resist.

The Doves were a design I shared previously as a 12” square block for Peace for Ukraine. In this baby quilt size, they are 6” square blocks.

There have been Elephants before in many of my patterns, but I designed these Elephant blocks and their little bird friends specifically to suit this theme. I adore them!

And between them are the Zebras!

Lazing at each end of the ark, the male and female Lions rest after their long adventure at sea.

The king has a mane shaped like a crown.

And the queen looks dainty and sweet.

Of course, these Giraffes must look familiar. These two were made using a reduced block size and shorter necks to fit between the rainbow and the ark, flanked by the two hippopotamuses, with their gaping jaws.

Awwww yes… the whales.

Along with the organic wavy line quilting, this backing appears to be flowing along in an underwater world of soft neutral tones.

And those little starfish? Adorable!

This finished quilt (and many others) are listed for sale in my Etsy shop here.

Keep On Quilting On!

Very cute design!
What a great quilt pattern! If I have another grandbaby, I’ll have to make that one.
