Winter Wonderland finished

Posted on: January 11th, 2023 by Lorna McMahon

This quilt managed to get finished on December 18, 2022, and I shared it on Instagram and Facebook, but I didn’t realize I forgot to post about it until now. So technically it’s my last finish for 2022!

Thank YOU for sticking with me to celebrate the NEXT 10 years of Sew Fresh Quilts!

This one was quilted with a beautiful blue variegated thread on top and in the bobbin.

And the snowflakes landing during the photo shoot is like the icing on the cake!

These blocks were a lot of fun to make! But of course the birds must be my overall favourites!

This perfect backing fabric was found in the clearance section of my LQS in Stratford, Ontario.

The pattern includes 25 blocks in all, featuring woodland animals, fun in the snow, birds, gnomes, little cabins and trees. And a HUGE variety of quilt settings and size options!

My Winter Wonderland quilt finished at 62″ x 68″.

In addition to spending my Christmas holidays shovelling snow, I also managed to get some stitching in. As you know I loved the bird blocks and made this version of the Winter Wonderland with ornament blocks. It is in a new pile of quilt tops waiting to be quilted. This little cutie is 62″ square.

You can find the pattern here.

Hope you all enjoyed a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and Happy Stitching in the NEW YEAR!
