Shoo Fly don’t bother me

Posted on: March 14th, 2022 by Lorna McMahon

This little play on the traditional Shoo Fly quilt block has my HEART.

I think it’s partly the fabrics I chose and partly the FLY.

Used to have way too many flies on the farm. But these flies are rather adorable.

Hey LOOK!!! I recovered my ironing board with a board!

I quilted using white on top and blue in the bobbin, in my organic wavy lines from edge to edge.

My Shoo Fly baby quilt finished at 41″ x 51″

Here is a sneak peek at my next post coming soon!!! Avocado!

I also tested the smaller size blocks for the Shoo Fly FLY blocks and made them into a table runner.

Want to make a SHOO FLY too?

The pattern comes with three sizes…

BABY finishes 41” x 51”, LAP finishes 46″ x 57″ and BIG finishes 68” x 79”.

Blocks finish 9″ square, plus there are instructions for 4.5″ square FLY blocks and two table runners.

You can find the pattern here in my NEW SHOP!
