Mini Horse
Woah horse! What a tiny little horse you are!
Simply Adorable!!!
All of the fabrics used for this little quilt were from stash. The leafy blue-green background fabric is from the Artisan Spirit collection by Northcott Fabrics. And I paired it up with black and grey prints from the same collection.
The backing was also a piece from my stash. It had already been hacked apart from using about 15″ of the width to widen a previous backing. And I required a little more than half the width of fabric for this. So it was perfect!
This print is Ampersand Typography in white. I bought a whole lot of it way back when. And it has been used for a few of the Black Birds quilts and for this Zany ZebraZ quilt. I love the brightness this print adds to the back of this quilt! Now there is only about a yard of the hacked up width left.
I added corner tabs for hanging and then finished it off with a black binding.
And of course, this was quilted using the organic wavy lines with my walking foot, using a plain white Gutermann Thread both on top and in the bobbin.
because of my extra wide borders,
Horse or Rainbow Unicorn finished size is FULL 42″ x 51″ or HALF 21″ x 19″.
This quilt pattern comes with instructions for the both the horse and the unicorn AND for making the block with or without the horn in both sizes.
