Panda Please – a baby boy quilt
Introducing the Panda Please pattern!
I made this one in blue so I think it feels like a baby boy quilt.
I really wanted to use some black and white prints to make this quilt. But did not have enough of any of those in my stash. So instead I improvised! The panda bears were made with two new fabrics I just purchased recently from Clinton Modern Creative. They are Heather Givans – Literary – Read Aloud in Teal and Libs Elliott – Tattooed – Zoltar in Teal. Also included is Abacus: Grow in Sky – a perfectly subtle low volume fabric used for the “white” faces and tummies. This fabric was left over from making my Flowers quilt.
The binding is the same Read Aloud in Teal as used in the pandas, sewn onto the back of the quilt and machine finished by top stitching from the front.
I shared about this pattern in the Let’s Bee Social post and on Instagram. It was so much fun to read all the comments guessing which version I went with for the real quilt! Thanks so much for playing along!
You can find the Panda Please pdf pattern here in my shop.
The blues are perfect, love that backing and the binding, and if you stand a little way back from the photo, they are all holding their hands. Love it!!!
I absolutely love the fabrics you used to make this totally adorable quilt!
Very, very cute! Love the fabrics you used – that Literary fabric works perfect for the pandas, as do all the others – with the 'cute as a button' backing!
These pandas are so adorable Lorna! Wish I needed to make a baby quilt…
This is so cute! I love that button print for the backing. 🙂
The blue one! It looks great (and so much like the rendering it's impressive!). 🙂
I love that button print on the back.
I adore this cutie! I feel like I have ADD because every time you come out with a new pattern I love it more than what I had planned to make next, so I change my plans! hahaha! Thank you for all the wonderful pattern choices, I do think this one is next!
I love all your quilts and this is no exception . The backing is perfect as is the binding
So very cute!
Beautiful pattern and I guessed right about it being the boy version 🙂 I knew those fun prints you had just purchased were begging to be used in a quilt.
