A Custom Order Baby Boy Quilt
And I want to tell you all how great you made me feel. All those sweet compliments and kind comments really meant a lot to me and are each greatly appreciated. Thank you ALL so much, my friends!
As you can see, our snow has disappeared. For now.
Leaving a wet and muddy background. Not so sweet.
Oh, now that’s better! A bit wrinkly, but better.
The real outdoors was hazy and foggy. Cool and damp.
But indoors was warm. And sunny by the window.
Choosing fabrics for the patchwork was the most fun.
Also read as: Shopping for fabrics was THE most FUN!
In keeping with the RPQ style, I quilted along the seam lines, both horizontally and vertically.
The backing is a very recent fabric acquisition. The name and details are in this post.
The binding is Katie Stripe in Midnight by Beauty Queen.
Not black, but it’s the best I could do.
It’s the only stripe I have!
Gonna have to change that….
A custom personalized label was requested.
For the first time ever, I used the alphabet stitching on my Aunt Elna.
I sewed the loose edge of this triangle label down by hand.

I am so proud of this sweet little finish.
And look forward to making more patchwork quilts in the future!
This quilt is now awaiting the arrival of a sweet baby boy. A 2015 New Year’s baby boy!
Thank you so much, Rita!
